Lucie Downer has over a decade of experience in the performing industry having performed in a number of West End Shows including 'Grease The Musical','Shrek The Musical' and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' to name a few.

Lucie has decided to share her experiences and inspire young children of Northamptonshire by opening LDPA. "I believe that the only people that should be teaching young people the skills that are required in the performing arts are people that are passionate, creative and who have real experience in those chosen fields."
At LDPA, we begin every student's journey by building confidence. Whether a child is 'Born to Perform' or struggling with confidence, we nurture and develop each individual. Learning to express oneself is an important part of a child's development and we aim to help inspire creative, independent, intelligent performers.
LDPA is a performance based school and will hold Theatre Performances during the year to give students a real insight to the industry and a chance to shine. We also have syllabus based classes working towards iPath, NATD and ISTD examinations in dance and LAMDA examinations in Drama and Singing.
CLASSES
DANCE: Improves fitness and stamina whilst learning fun new moves! Dance also improves coordination, posture, the ability to express creativity and confidence.
SINGING: Pop, Contemporary and Musical Theatre are just some of the genres of music we cover at LDPA. We also teach safe vocal technique, solo performance, acting through song and group harmony work.
ACTING: Confidence building, acting for camera, comedy improvisation and working with different scripts are just a small example of what the children will work on at LDPA.
We offer one free trial session to all new LDPA students to give them a chance to see our studios and meet our teachers - please get in touch to try a new class with us!

This half day session is based on a 'Fame School' approach. The children will take part in one hour each of acting, singing and dancing.

50p per session will be discounted on any of the following lessons, when taken alongside any other LDPA class: iPath Ballet (all grades), NATD Tap (all grades), ISTD Modern (all grades).
50p per session will be discounted from Strength & Flexibility class when taken alongside any iPath Ballet, NATD Tap or ISTD Modern class at LDPA.
50p per session will be discounted from any Adult class when the paying adult has a child attending any other class at LDPA.
Terms & Conditions:
Any payment 5 days late or more will incur a 20% late payment fee.
Students cannot attend a class that has not been paid for.
No Discounts are made for Illness or Holidays.
LDPA requires a 3 weeks paid notice period if for any reason a student decides to leave a class.

At LDPA, safety is paramount. All of our teachers are DBS checked and highly qualified in their chosen field, as well as having a wealth of professional experience. We are fully insured and first aid trained. All children are free to be creative and confident in a safe and fun surrounding.
